In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of the most common and well-known fertility treatments. It involves the process of manually combining an egg and a sperm in a laboratory dish to encourage fertilization.

At Mexico Fertility Center, we utilize an extremely thorough 5 Step Process to promote fertilization. Dr. Garza and his team of fertility specialists carefully monitor each step of the IVF process and provide you with continual updates.

1 Ovarian Stimulation – Dr. Garza may prescribe fertility medication to stimulate your ovaries to increase the chance of collecting multiple eggs. Since not all eggs will become fertilized, it is important to retrieve multiple eggs to increase the chance of fertilization.

2 Collect Eggs – Eggs are retrieved through a minor surgical procedure that uses an ultrasound.

3 Collect Sperm – Sperm is obtained from your male partner (or sperm donor) and prepared for the fertilization process.

4 Insemination – Dr. Garza combines the eggs and the sperm together in incubators designed to promote fertilization. Once fertilization is confirmed, the eggs are considered embryos.

5 Embryo Transfer – After successful fertilization is confirmed, Dr. Garza transfers the desired number of embryos back into your uterus within 1-6 days.
